Judíos Argentinos Gays (GLBT) of Argentina

Since 2004, we have provided a framework of containment, integration and growth for LGBT people, fostering the inclusion and acceptance of diversity inside and outside of Judaism. Our bases and pillars, means and objectives are summarized in: equality, inclusion, recreation, training, Zionism, tarbut, homoparentality, continuity, Torah, Kabalat Shabbat, diversity and film debate.

Conference in Buenos Aires in 2017

JAG was the generous coordinator and host for the 2017 World Congress conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The first international conference of its kind in South America, the event boasted attendees from Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, the United States, France, Italy, and Israel. Attendees participated in panels, workshops, tours, a Shabbat service and dinner, a Tango Show, and dance lesson.

Gustavo was one of the leaders of the Conference in Buenos Aires in March of 2017. Gustavo comes from a traditional Sephardic Orthodox family from Buenos Aires and has been involved with JAG nearly since its conception in 2004. Romina Escobar-Churur was one of the coordinators of the 2017 conference in Buenos Aires. She and her wife Vicky were the first same-sex couple to be married under Jewish law in Argentina.
